Aurom continually
undertakes research and development activities
into waste disposal and how to fully facilitate
the end of life of equipment in particular
waste computers including desktops, laptops,
servers and mainframes.
The EU has introduced the
WEEE Directive (Waste Electronic
& Electrical Equipment) which
became law in the middle of 2005. Landfill
of such items, in consequence, was stopped
in July 2004 so safe disposal is via companies,
such as ourselves, who specialise in the
disposal of such products and who have a
Waste Licence granted by the UK Environment
Agency.
Aurom acts as a management
structure to advise on the best
way forward for our clients who need to
put into place a Managed Disposal
Plan for Computer Equipment and Mobile Phones.
By sourcing varying ways for disposal we
are able to achieve maximum financial
return for our clients.
Our Disposal Plans are
on a contractual basis where Aurom look
to maximise Asset Recovery Values
for our clients where possible for surplus
products within their business.
We can also offer the added
value service of providing Asset
Tracking Software, which enables
clients to locate their computer assets
throughout the company and detail the type
of equipment being used.
